Bajaj Finance boosts net profit by 28%
Bajaj Finance had posted a net profit of ₹4,765 crore in the year-ago period. Assets under management (AUM) at Bajaj Finance, the only non-banking finance company (NBFC) to feature in the list of India's top 10 businesses by market capitalisation, climbed 24% year-on-year to ₹5.47 lakh crore as of June-end, compared with ₹4.41 lakh crore a year earlier. The lender, which specialises in small-ticket consumer loans, added ₹36,969 crore to its AUM during the quarter.

Bharti Airtel discontinues four prepaid plans, raises prices up to 16%
2 Min Read Bharti Airtel has discontinued its ₹299, ₹579, ₹619 and ₹649 prepaid plans across India from today, with the next available plans in the affected categories costing between 5% and 16% more, sources told CNBC-TV18. The most notable change is at the ₹299 price point. Airtel has removed the plan, which offered 1.5GB of data per day, and the next available option is now the ₹349 pack, a 16% increase.
