ED chargesheets EaseMyTrip co-founder Nishant Pitti in Mahadev betting case
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a chargesheet against EaseMyTrip co-founder Nishant Pitti in connection with the Mahadev online betting app money laundering case, alleging that he helped route proceeds generated through illegal betting into the Indian equity market by disguising them as foreign portfolio investments. The federal agency has also provisionally attached shares held in Pitti's demat account valued at ₹59.60 crore under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
EaseMyTrip swings to Rs 11.69 crore Q1 net loss
Travel booking platform EaseMyTrip reported a net loss of ₹11.69 crore on a consolidated basis in the first quarter ended June. The company had posted a net profit of ₹44.3 lakh in the corresponding year-ago period, the company said in a regulatory filing on Friday. During the April-June quarter under review, EaseMyTrip's revenue from operations rose to ₹134.7 crore, from ₹113.79 crore in the same period last year.
