GSFC reported consolidated net profit of ₹200.2 crore for Q2 FY27, down 38.2% year-on-year, even as revenue from operations jumped 48.8% to ₹4,741 crore. The decline was driven by a multi-fold surge in raw material costs, notably sulphur and natural gas, which squeezed fertiliser margins despite a 55% year-on-year rise in fertiliser segment sales value to ₹1,386 crore. The company also announced it will exit its port logistics subsidiary.
