Sonowal announces ₹1,500cr international cruise terminal at Puri
Union minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Tuesday announced the development of an international cruise terminal in Puri at an estimated cost of Rs 1,500 crore. The Paradip Port Authority (PPA), in partnership with the Odisha government, will develop the proposed terminal, he said while chairing a meeting of his ministry’s consultative committee on strengthening coastal and cruise shipping.
Indian IPO market raises record Rs 84,400 crore in H1 FY27
The report, India IPO Market: H1 FY27 and Q2 FY27 Review, said 94% of the total capital mobilised during April-September 2026 was raised in the second quarter, highlighting the sharp acceleration in primary market activity following a subdued first quarter. As many as 71 mainboard companies entered the public markets during H1 FY27, compared with 55 in the corresponding period last year. Fundraising increased from Rs 64,900 crore in H1 FY26 to Rs 84,400 crore in the latest first half.
