Last day to buy Senco Gold, NALCO for dividend rewards
Under Sebi's T+1 settlement cycle, investors need to purchase a company’s shares at least one trading day before the record date to ensure the shares are credited to their demat accounts in time, and they become eligible for the corporate action. Accordingly, today is the last opportunity for investors to buy the shares so that they are credited to their accounts by the record date (August 24), making them eligible for the dividend.
Aluminium stocks tumble as LME prices fall 1.6%
Vedanta Aluminium shares fell 2% to a day’s low of Rs 442 on the BSE, while Hindalco declined 2.3% to Rs 1,022. State-owned NALCO was the worst hit, falling 7% to Rs 375 apiece. On the London Metal Exchange, benchmark aluminium fell 1.6% to settle at $3,285.50 a tonne.

NALCO forecasts aluminium prices cooling to $3,100-3,200 per tonne
Bhubaneswar-based aluminium producer NALCO expects aluminium prices to moderate to $3,100-$3,200 per tonne for the remainder of the year, after averaging around $3,600-$3,700 per tonne in the April-June quarter. Brijendra Pratap Singh, Chairman-cum-Managing Director of National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), said prices have already cooled to around $3,270 per tonne and are expected to settle within the $3,100-$3,200 range for the rest of the year.
