Consolidated net profit climbed 8.41% year-on-year to ₹3,866.16 crore, while revenue from operations grew 2.97% to ₹11,816.22 crore. The state-owned transmission utility attributed the steady performance to strong transmission demand, and its board approved a first interim dividend of ₹3 per share for FY2026-27. Total income rose to ₹12,055.11 crore from ₹11,670.24 crore a year earlier, with profit up from ₹3,566.08 crore in the September 2025 quarter.

POWERGRID bags Rs 3,244-cr annual transmission project under TBCB Power Grid Corporation of India (POWERGRID) has been declared the successful bidder under Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) for establishing an Inter-State Transmission System to evacuate 6 GW of renewable power from Rajasthan REZ Phase-IV. The company has quoted annual transmission charges of Rs 3,244.33 crore and received the Letter of Intent (LoI) on 2 September 2026.
