Shares of the country’s largest listed firm (RIL) rose as much as 3.53% to an intraday high of Rs 1,325.2 before settling 3.52% higher at Rs 1,325 apiece on the NSE. A total of 23.37 million shares worth Rs 2,653.01 crore were traded in the stock across the BSE and NSE during the day, according to exchange data. Meanwhile, SBI shares climbed 2.94% to an intraday high of Rs 1,086.1 before ending the session 2.84% higher at Rs 1,085 apiece.

SBI raises $1.5B in overseas citizen deposits
2 Min Read State Bank of India has so far raised more than $1.5 billion from foreign-currency deposits under a special programme launched last month for overseas citizens, people familiar with the matter said. The country's largest lender will also provide leverage of nine times to depositors, the people said, asking not to be identified as the details are private. The facility will allow customers to scale up the amount of money they would deposit under the programme.
