Solara Active Pharma tax demand reduced to zero
1 Min Read Solara Active Pharma Sciences said on Friday, August 28, that the Income Tax Department has reduced a ₹161.92-crore tax demand against the company to nil after correcting the computation. The demand related to assessment year 2019-20 and stemmed from a notice received by the pharmaceutical company on March 17, 2026. Solara had subsequently sought a rectification under Section 154 of the Income-tax Act, arguing that the demand had been incorrectly calculated.
Solara Pharma profit surges 55%
2 Min Read Shares of Solara Active Pharma Sciences rose 5% on the NSE after the company reported a 55% year-on-year jump in consolidated net profit for the June quarter, driven by higher revenue, according to an exchange filing. The company posted a net profit of ₹16.3 crore for the quarter ended June 30, compared with ₹10.5 crore a year earlier. Revenue from operations rose 19.7% to ₹382 crore, up from ₹319 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
